The garden paths form something of a maze, so budget extra time if you want to see everything, and keep an eye out for red squirrels, which reviewers regularly spot here.
Visitors consistently rave about Brodick Castle's gardens and grounds, its setting beneath Goat Fell, and the excellent children's adventure playground - several also mention spotting red squirrels as a highlight. A couple of reviewers note that the castle building itself and the coffee/tea room can have limited or closed hours (one visitor found both shut on the day they went, another flags the tea room's early 3pm closing), so it's worth checking opening times before travelling.
