Delgatie Castle, Delgaty, Turriff AB53 5TD
Delgatie is one of the few Scottish castles open every day of the year, and unusually, its holiday suites sit inside the castle itself rather than in a separate cottage or wing. It's a working, staffed visitor attraction as well as somewhere you can actually spend the night behind the original walls.
Worth the trip
Sleeping inside the castle itself - the suites are built into the historic building rather than a converted outbuilding, a rarer setup than most castle stays offer.

Being open year-round makes it one of the more reliable Aberdeenshire castles to plan around whatever the season - with no visitor reviews on file yet, it's worth confirming current opening hours directly before travelling.
